What is OptiBerry®?

The popularity of antioxidants keeps growing and it's hard to argue with the health benefits they provide. Two of Liquid Health's products contain OptiBerry® for its antioxidant properties - but what exactly is OptiBerry® and what is it good for? According to the InterHealth website, “OptiBerry® is a standardized, multiple berry anthocyanin extract formulated to supply whole body antioxidant benefits.”

The Liquid Health website defines antioxidants as “a group of substances known for their ability to help the body fight off the harmful effects of free radicals.” Antioxidants are found naturally occurring in foods such as berries, beans and nuts. OptiBerry® combines the high levels of antioxidants found in wild blueberry, strawberry, cranberry, wild bilberry, elderberry and raspberry to make up this powerful antioxidant blend.

Free radicals can damage your cells and even cause damage to your DNA. Free radicals, when left unattended, can cause a myriad of health problems including (but not limited to): cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's disease. Antioxidants can help to prevent or possibly even reverse the damage that can be done by harmful free radicals.

In order to ensure your body has the proper tools to fight off the damaging effects of free radicals it's important to eat a healthy and balanced diet, as well as add supplemental antioxidants when necessary. Liquid Health's Complete Multiple and Ultra Antioxidant both contain OptiBerry®, making this powerful antioxidant blend easily available and quickly absorbed into your bloodstream for fast utilization.
